“Oh but there are just so many people already selling on Etsy.” Whew can you imagine if Target never tried because Walmart was a store too? There is such a huge market of buyers on Etsy, when you see that there are people successfully selling something similar to your craft, take it as assurance that the market is there and thriving. There is so much room in this market. Out of all of the sellers on Etsy, nobody can do what you do, quite like you do it! There’s two different answers that I typically have to this:
ONE: I didn’t know how to make signs before I started selling them. I simply looked up on Pinterest how people did it, then figured it out and started a shop! I never would have identified myself as crafty or artistic until I decided to show up and LEARN how to do it.
TWO: Not everything requires an artistic eye or design skill. You can sell freebies from Canva templates, or create your own. There is a market for printables like journals, day planners, holiday planners, budget spreadsheets, teacher guides, fall activity lists and SO MANY MORE.
